Here's how to make an appointment at New England Eye Commonwealth, part of the New England Eye network of eye care centers and community programs.

New England Eye Commonwealth is committed to offering you premium eye services and eyewear.  We accept all major credit cards and most insurance plans.  Discounts are available to those who have certain insurance plans. Our mission is to improve the visual health of our community, therefore we consider our patient’s ability to pay for services and will discuss a payment plan that is right for you.

We are located at 930 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA and are accessible by car or public transportation.  Directions are as follows:

By Car:

South or West: Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) west to Exit 18, Allston/

Brighton and exit left. Merge onto Cambridge Street. Turn left onto Harvard Avenue.

Turn left onto Brighton Avenue/US-20 E. Continue to follow 20-E, which becomes

Commonwealth Avenue. You may turn right on Pleasant Street before reaching 930

Commonwealth Avenue, then take a left onto Dummer Street. Follow local directions

below to find out information about parking garage on Dummer Street.

Southeast: Take I-93 North to Boston. Exit onto Storrow Drive (Exit 26). Continue on

Storrow Drive to the Kenmore Square Exit and follow local directions below.

North: Take I-93 or Route 1 South to Boston. Exit onto Storrow Drive (Exit 26). Continue

on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore Square Exit and follow local directions below.

North Shore / Airport: Take Route 1A through the Sumner Tunnel. Follow signs onto

the Expressway North (I-93). Exit onto Storrow Drive (Exit 26). Continue on Storrow

Drive to the Kenmore Square Exit and follow local directions below.

Local Directions from Kenmore Square Exit: Bear right to Kenmore Square on

exit ramp. At the first set of lights, turn right onto Beacon Street. The road forks

in Kenmore Square, bear right onto Commonwealth Avenue and follow to 930

Commonwealth Avenue.  You may turn left on St. Paul Street before reaching 930 Commonwealth Avenue,

then take your first right onto Dummer Street. Park in the second parking garage

on Dummer Street and walk to the entrance of New England Eye Commonwealth

located on Dummer Street or on Pleasant Street. Follow signs that will direct you to

New England Eye Commonwealth’s reception areas.

By Public Transportation:

New England Eye Commonwealth is easily accessible by public transportation. The

“B” line of the MBTA's Green Line passes directly in front of the building. Traveling from

Boston, exit the MBTA streetcar at the Pleasant Street stop.
